It was a beautiful day in Gotham. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and the Penny Plunderer was off for another crime- wait, the Penny Plunderer? Who's that? Why, of course, he's the infamous penny thief! Now, you may not have heard of him - he'd been lying low for a while, after being thrown behind bars by the Bat. But now he was back for the biggest crime he'd ever comitted... John Coyne, the great and terrible Penny Plunderer, was robbing the First National Gotham Bank! Now, you may think that this isn't very original, but at least he wasn't capturing girls from books or crashing a party at the Iceberg Lounge! Yes, if for some reason Gotham was a forum, this would be the first thread in the bank's section!
Presently, the Plunderer had smashed down the door to the bank, and had each of his thugs, all armed with pistols or machine guns, and marked by a black shirt with a penny on it, had come in on all the doors, blocking escape. There was no chance for escape, and the Bat wasn't gonna be dropping in any time soon... No, as long as he had hostages, the Plunderer was going to be jussssst fine.
The Plunderer sneered, showing of his sharp toothpick and shiny copper tooth, and began flipping a penny. He absolutely loved just having this kind of power over these poor folks. The Plunderer had spent all his life without a dime, and these rich old fat cats would be penniless soon. Crime always satisfied him.
The Plunderer walked casually, one hand in his pocket, the other flipping a penny, over to the nearest banker. "Withdraw all the money in all the accounts, and put it in a sack." The banker gulped.
"Y-Yes, sir..." the banker instantly began typing up the Plunderer's order.
"Oh yeah!" the Plunderer smiled, his copper tooth glinting. "And make it all in... pennies."
The banker's face turned white.
