OLIVER JONAS QUEEN
Green Arrow
Shouted Shame on you brothers! On your silence!
Took the axe and struck his blow, brought the giant low
Raised his head and held it high, and met the giant's eye
And cried, I'll meet your vengeance in a year and we'll see who'll die
You or I.
And won't you think I'm pretty

style;;
Oliver Queen has an image to uphold. As such, he has to dress to impress. Unlike his costumed persona, he isn't limited to any particular colors, but green does find its way into his wardrobe. Any time he's working, he wears expensive suits or jackets. Often that includes an imported outfit complimented by accessories with price tags most people would faint at. His business wardrobe serves the same purpose as his hero uniform. It has been assembled to intimidate the competition and keep him at the front of the pack. Even when he's dressed casually, the materials are often top quality. He leaves T-shirts for working out and sticks to collared shirts and button downs.
The Green Arrow uniform itself is made for precision. Assembled to be reminiscent of Robin Hood and medieval archers, the chest is covered with a dark green vest and lighter tunic serving as an undershirt. The lighter color is matched by his tight pants while the darker is reflected on his boots, elbow length gloves (which double as an archery arm band) and triangular hat. A large quiver is strapped to stay flush to his back. The organization of the arrows is always constant, though each shaft has braille characters near the top in case things get shuffled around.
And I'll take your hand and pick you up

hates;;
Crossbows (Don't show me Garfield and tell me it's art)
Hawkman (Nut job knee jerk son of a-)

His rogues gallery (I'm flattered by your obsession, but I'd prefer if our relationship stayed short term.)
Fascists (It's looks great on you though, dear)
Elitists (I know, ironic)
strengths;;
World's Greatest Archer (It's not pride, it's true. 29 arrows a minute.)
Resources (I need it to compensate for my lack of alien abilities. Also, have you seen my car?)
Master Martial Artist (I once took on seven guys, no weapons. Not in hands, anyway.)
Master Swordsmen (...I'm not overly fond of the sword, but if you wanna play I'm game.)
Master Tracker/Hunter (Not so much a hero as a hunter.)
Great cook (Try my chili.)

His “family” (You take those quotes off.)
Anger Issues (Why I outta!)
Has a habit of treating his young wards like they are already independent adults (Well he is now >.> )
quirks/habits;;
Fiddles with pens and pencils. Toying with arrows makes him constantly judge cylinder shaped objects for their balance point and weight. (Good habit. No weapon better than the one already in your hand.)
Has an affinity for green. (Looks good on me.)
Likes to talk a big game (I'm the only game in town.)
Quotes Other People (Part of the privileged childhood. They really shove it down your throat in private school.)

To see Roy find some peace (He deserves it.)
To make Star City a place people feel safe to live in (A man must keep his own house in order)
To make the world a better place (It's a good dream)
overall personality;;
Oliver Queen doesn't undergo any sort of psychological transformation when he dons the Green Arrow attire. He isn't some soldier who suits up and feels more than who he is. Luckily who Oliver is happens to be confident enough to dress up like a modern Robin Hood and bring a bow to a gun fight. Whether it's on the streets of Star City hunting down a criminal, staring down an alien invasion or making a decision in a shareholders meeting; Oliver has guts. Some would call his need to be the hero part of the adrenaline junky lifestyle he lived during his high school years, but in truth it has nothing to do with that. Oliver Queen is a hero because he looks at the world and knows it can be better. He's disgusted with people who have power and use it for nothing except their own gain.
Oliver has never been a great father. He treats Roy more like a younger brother than a son. On the occasion he's even brought the boy with him to some places that had to be paid not to card the red head. However, unlike his contemporaries, he never shies away from giving him a compliment. Most people know where they stand with the Green Arrow. He doesn't pretend to like anyone he doesn't, even if that inhibits team ups or business ventures.
The Emerald Archer is known to be left wing. While many heroes struggle with the line of hero and murderer, Oliver often constantly watches the line between hero and tool of fascism. He makes sure his deeds are devoted to true justice and not just the whims of politicians or the military. He firmly believes that the Green Arrow is for the average people, whose lives are hard enough without having to worry about losing everything to some hood with a gun. He would much rather work outside the law if it was the only way he could help people.
And keep you there so you can see

history;;
Oliver Queen was born into a family worth millions of dollars and yet he fell in love with the story of Robin Hood as soon as he heard it. He was found to be a natural archer as soon as he could convince his parents to let him take up the hobby. His young body's lack of strength held him back much more than any coordination issues. He was quickly of a high enough caliber that he was on the level of longbow hunters. Needing to match his hero, he also insisted that he should learn how to fight with a sword as well as fence. While talented in those fields, they never meant as much to him as archery. His parents thought it was endearing and his skill level kept the hobby from tarnishing their name. However if it was supposed to be a phase, he never seemed to grow out of it. When his father actually took him hunting, he was mildly traumatized when he killed an animal.
The young archer would lose that aversion to killing animals soon after. His small family of three went on safari together to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. His parents didn't realize that he was still thinking about that first kill and it was this hang up that ended in his parents deaths. Because Oliver didn't shoot the lions that mauled the family, leaving only Oliver alive. He didn't need any more dramatic of a lesson to know that some deaths served a purpose. He lived with his uncle for the rest of his childhood, inheriting the family fortune as soon as he was a legal adult. The young man had no interest in business or long meetings, so instead he used his money to live as a thrill seeker. Fate pushed him again when he fell off his speed boat during a storm. His crew couldn't readily locate him and used the opportunity to steal the ship and leave the millionaire to die. Instead he washed up on the shore of Starfish Island. His archery and survival skills were put to the test as he had learn or die. Living with nothing but nature taught him to take nothing for granted and self-reliance.
He immediately knew when drug traders attempted to set up on his island. Using the skills he had developed for weeks, he took down the syndicate and turned them over to the authorities, using their own radio equipment. Little did he know, he had taken down China White, an international crime lord. Now able to return home, he had a new mission. He knew he had to do something to build on what he had done on the island, but he didn't know what until he heard news of the Batman. There were no good pictures or any solid information, but he didn't need it. He wasn't copying Batman, just using the basic premise. A uniform to keep bullets and fire away from his vital organs, an arsenal of trick arrows to make up for his lack of supernatural abilities and tutelage from a dozen combat instructors. There were a lot of close calls his first months, but he learned on his feet and made sure to cure any short comings as soon as he saw them.
( Almost done! But I have a really messy timeline issue I have to figure out when it comes to Connor xD)
